Antonis Filippaios was born in Athens in 1980. After completing High School, he spent two years in Italy studying at the Law School of the University of Rome. Upon returning to Greece, he earned a degree in Italian Language and Literature from the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. Subsequently, he pursued studies in International and European Relations at a Private College in Athens.

Antonis’s artistic prowess shines in the field of poetry, where he has achieved notable success in various international competitions. His poetic journey commenced with the collection “Animus Nudus,” honored with the “Anacreon” prize at the 3rd World Poetry Competition K.P. Cavafy in 2017. The same work garnered recognition as the best poetry collection of 2018 by the International Art Academy.

His collection “SILENTIUM” earned the prestigious PRATINAS prize in the 7th World Poetry Competition of Amphiktionia Hellenism. The poem “The Lovers of Light” secured the first prize in the 8th World Poetry Competition of Amphiktionia Hellenism in 2019. Furthermore, his poem “The Use of Antigone” received Excellence in Poetry at the 10th World Literary Competition of the Hellenic Cypriots of Greece in 2020, signaling the forthcoming third poetry collection.

Athanasios Nassiopoulos, born in 1953 in Amaliada, Ilia, Greece, with ancestral ties to Kalavryta, currently holds the title of Professor Emeritus at the University of Western Attica, where he concluded his tenure in August 2021 in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Alongside his academic contributions, he served in various institutional roles at the University and the former Higher Technical Institution TEI of Athens.

In 1976, he earned his BS in Physics from the University of Athens, followed by a Ph.D. in 1979 from the University of Paris XI, specializing in High-Frequency Electronics and Telecommunications. With over 15 years of experience as a Telecommunications Engineer, he led Research and Development efforts in major companies in France and Greece, where he returned in 1985.

His extensive body of work includes noteworthy publications in international journals and conferences within his fields of expertise. Acknowledged by fellow scholars through numerous cross-references, he authored four books on Electronics and Telecommunications. He played a pivotal role in significant scientific and developmental projects and is affiliated with several scientific and professional associations in his domain.

Aside from his technical pursuits, Athanasios dedicates substantial time to Poetry, Literature, Culture, and the study of Greek and World History. His articles on these subjects frequently appear in both print and electronic media. Currently, he serves as the President of the Cultural Union of Arbounians and holds a position on the Board of Directors of the Federation of Cultural Associations of Calabria, “Ancient Kleitoras.”

Recognized for his cultural contributions to the Kalavryta District, Athanasios released his first poetry collection, “Soul Reflections, Dream Thoughts,” in 2021, published by Kouros Publications. His latest poetry collection, “Joyful Accounts,” was released in 2023 by the same publishing house, with two more collections currently in the publication process.
