Mysuru School Introduces Year-Long Value-Based Learning Theme Inspired by Japanese Philosophy

Mysuru: At a time when educational systems increasingly revolve around examinations, rankings, and academic performance, a Mysuru school has come up with a unique theme-based academic initiative aimed at integrating human values, emotional awareness, and responsible citizenship into everyday learning.

The initiative introduces an academic model in which each academic year is centred around a single philosophical or value-oriented concept that becomes part of classroom interaction, student engagement, behavioural culture, and co-curricular activities throughout the year. For the present academic year, the institution has adopted Omotonashi — the Japanese philosophy and art of thoughtful care, mindful sensitivity, and selfless consideration towards others — as its guiding theme.

The concept was introduced through a special orientation session for teachers led by author and educational thinker Dr. Jagadish, who explained practical methods through which these values can be organically incorporated into regular teaching practices across subjects rather than being confined to isolated moral instruction sessions.

According to educators associated with the initiative, the objective is to create learning environments that nurture empathy, discipline, emotional intelligence, responsibility, and civic awareness alongside academic achievement. The year-long thematic approach is intended to help students gradually internalise these values through continuous experience, interaction, and reflection within the school environment.

Educational observers noted that while value education is often discussed in theory, structured thematic integration across an entire academic year remains relatively uncommon within mainstream schooling systems that largely prioritise examination outcomes and academic competition. The initiative therefore reflects an effort to evolve towards a more balanced and human-centred educational framework.

The program is being implemented at KNC Innovative Global School in association with the Global Academy for Transformative Education (GATE) under the guidance of Chairman Dr. K. N. Chandrashekhar, whose emphasis on holistic education has encouraged the introduction of innovative academic practices within the institution. Principal Joseph Frank highlighted the importance of shaping students not only for academic success but also for meaningful and responsible living.

Teachers participating in the orientation session discussed various approaches through which the principles of Omotonashi can be reflected in classroom culture, communication, discipline, peer interaction, and day-to-day educational practices throughout the academic year.

A Philosopher of Existence by Stefano Chiesa to Be Published Internationally

A New Philosophical Voice Emerges: A Philosopher of Existence by Stefano Chiesa to Be Published Internationally

Contemporary philosophical literature continues to search for voices capable of reconnecting intellectual reflection with the intimate realities of human existence. In this landscape, Italian philosopher and writer Stefano Chiesa presents a deeply personal and reflective contribution through his forthcoming international work, A Philosopher of Existence, soon to be published by Writers International Edition.

Rooted in existential inquiry and shaped by years of philosophical contemplation, the book proposes what the author defines as a contemporary “Neo-Existential” perspective — a meditation upon life, death, love, transcendence, suffering, art, silence, and the perpetual search for meaning. Rather than approaching philosophy as a distant academic structure, Chiesa places human experience itself at the center of inquiry, transforming thought into an intimate existential journey.

The work traces intellectual resonances from ancient Greek philosophy to twentieth-century existential reflection, weaving together references to Aristotle, metaphysics, aesthetics, music, ontology, dreams, contradiction, and the fragile architecture of human consciousness. The symbolic connection with Athens — birthplace of Western philosophy — further enriches the spiritual and cultural atmosphere surrounding the project.

Structured through philosophical reflections and aphoristic meditations, A Philosopher of Existence attempts to bridge classical thought and contemporary existential uncertainty. Themes of inclusion, peace, contradiction, mortality, artistic transcendence, and the metaphysical dimensions of music recur throughout the manuscript, revealing an author deeply concerned with the spiritual condition of modern humanity.

Particularly significant is Chiesa’s effort to articulate philosophy not merely as abstraction, but as lived experience. The text repeatedly returns to the idea that existence itself remains indeterminate — something to be explored rather than definitively explained. Within this framework, philosophy becomes not a doctrine, but an ongoing condition of consciousness.

Recognising the international philosophical atmosphere of the work, Writers International Edition has confirmed that the project will appear as a trilingual international edition in Italian, English, and Spanish, allowing the book to reach a broader global readership across Europe and Latin America.

The forthcoming publication also coincides with the growing international literary and cultural engagements surrounding the Global Vision Summit, where the work is expected to receive official presentation alongside other contemporary literary and philosophical projects.

According to the editorial team, A Philosopher of Existence represents not only the publication of a book, but the emergence of a distinct philosophical voice seeking to engage modern readers through reflection, introspection, and intellectual openness.

At a time when contemporary society increasingly confronts fragmentation, uncertainty, and existential fatigue, Stefano Chiesa’s work arrives as an invitation to return to contemplation — to rediscover philosophy as a human necessity rather than a merely academic pursuit.

The international edition of A Philosopher of Existence is currently under preparation and is expected to be officially released in the coming months through Writers International Edition.

Traveling the Earth with Lepagou by Dr. Gerasimos P. Pagoulatos

Writers International Edition Announces the Upcoming International Release of Traveling the Earth with Lepagou

Writers International Edition is delighted to announce the forthcoming international release of Traveling the Earth with Lepagou by distinguished Greek scholar, author, musician, theologian, and archaeologist Dr. Gerasimos P. Pagoulatos, widely known by readers and listeners as Lepagou.

The upcoming work represents a remarkable literary journey shaped by decades of travel, scholarship, cultural exploration, and lived human experience across continents and civilizations. More than a conventional travel narrative, the book brings together memoir, philosophical reflection, cultural observation, personal storytelling, and historical consciousness in a voice that is both intellectually rich and deeply human.

Dr. Pagoulatos completed his doctoral studies in Historical Theology at Saint Louis University, Missouri, after earning his Master’s degree in Theological Studies with specialization in Art and Archaeology from Harvard University. His academic foundation was established at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece, where he studied Religion.

For many years he has served as Professor of Religion and Ethics at Athens College, Greece, while also contributing extensively to the fields of Byzantine studies, archaeology, theology, art history, and cultural scholarship through research, teaching, publications, conferences, and archaeological work. His scholarly contributions and presentations have reached respected international institutions including Johns Hopkins University, the Walters Art Museum, Ohio State University, the Academy of Athens, and numerous other academic and cultural forums.

Yet beyond the academic world, Dr. Pagoulatos has cultivated an equally compelling creative identity through literature and music. His literary works explore philosophy, memory, identity, and introspection, while his musical projects under the artistic name Lepagou combine melody with contemplative atmosphere and emotional depth. His recent musical releases, including Tina’s Love and Phocean Colors, have further expanded his artistic presence internationally. Readers and listeners may explore his musical work here:

Traveling the Earth with Lepagou emerges from a lifetime of encounters with people, cultures, landscapes, and histories. Conceived within the maritime world as the son of a Greek sea captain, Dr. Pagoulatos began traveling internationally from early childhood, experiences that profoundly shaped his worldview and intellectual development.

The book moves through places as diverse as China, Japan, India, Cuba, the United States, and Greece, presenting not only vivid experiences of travel but also reflections on civilization, identity, spirituality, friendship, freedom, and the meaning of human connection. Through harbors, universities, cities, islands, ships, cafés, museums, and forgotten corners of the world, the narrative gradually unfolds as a meditation on both external and inner journeys.

One of the defining qualities of the manuscript is its ability to combine scholarship with accessibility. The author writes with warmth, humor, curiosity, and emotional honesty while carrying the intellectual depth of a lifelong scholar and observer of cultures. The result is a work that appeals simultaneously to readers of travel literature, memoir, philosophy, cultural studies, and reflective prose.

The visual and narrative atmosphere of the book also carries a strong cinematic quality. Scenes unfold with unusual vividness — from childhood memories aboard ships in Asia to encounters in Havana, university life in America, and contemplative journeys through Greece and the Mediterranean world. Throughout the manuscript, travel becomes not tourism but a process of discovery, awareness, and transformation.

The publication is being presented under the Global Signature Publishing Program of Writers International Edition with international promotional support through the literary and cultural platforms of Writers Capital International Foundation.

As part of the international presentation campaign, Dr. Pagoulatos will also appear in a special featured conversation on Meet the Luminaries Podcast, where he will speak about travel, literature, memory, culture, music, and the inspirations behind the book.

With its unique blend of scholarship, storytelling, cultural depth, philosophical reflection, and human warmth, Traveling the Earth with Lepagou promises to become a distinctive and memorable addition to contemporary international travel literature.

The book is scheduled for upcoming international release through Writers International Edition.

Andromachi Koutserinakis

The Graceful Journey of Andromachi Koutserinakis: A Rising Star in Dance

Andromachi Koutserinakis, a gifted dancer and educator, has carved out a remarkable place in the world of dance. Born and raised in the vibrant city of Athens, Greece, her journey into the world of movement and grace began at an early age, setting the stage for a life deeply intertwined with artistic expression. With an unwavering passion for the art form, Andromachi’s dance journey has been a testament to perseverance, dedication, and the pursuit of artistic excellence.

At just four years old, Andromachi took her first steps into the world of dance at the Amateur School of Dance “Rodopi Kouvari.” This early exposure to various dance styles—classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, character dance, and musical movement education—ignited her love for dance. These formative years were essential in shaping her as an artist, where she learned the discipline and beauty inherent in each movement. Under the guidance of skilled mentors, she developed a strong foundation in classical ballet, while exploring the fluidity and expressive power of contemporary and jazz dance.

As a young dancer, Andromachi honed her skills through years of training and practice, showcasing her versatility in both classical and modern forms of dance. Her early education provided her with a holistic understanding of dance as not only a technical skill but as a form of artistic expression that can communicate emotion, culture, and stories.

In 2022, Andromachi graduated from the esteemed Higher Professional School of Dance “Niki Kontaxaki,” marking the culmination of years of formal training. It was here that she truly blossomed as a performer, working under the direction of distinguished choreographers such as Belinda Tanner, Mikaela Kantzafiri, and Artemis Ignatiou. These experiences enriched her artistry and expanded her understanding of the dance world, allowing her to incorporate diverse styles and techniques into her performances.

Her collaborations with these renowned figures provided her the opportunity to explore a broad spectrum of choreographic approaches, enhancing her ability to tell stories through movement. Each performance became an opportunity for her to delve deeper into her craft, evolving not only as a dancer but as a creative force in the field.

Andromachi’s insatiable curiosity and passion for dance have driven her to continually seek out opportunities for growth. Over the years, she has participated in numerous seminars focused on music-kinetic education, ballet teaching for young children, and improving dance techniques. This dedication to lifelong learning has become a defining characteristic of her career, as she remains committed to refining her skills and expanding her understanding of the art.

Her focus on music-kinetic education, in particular, reflects her deep understanding of the connection between music and movement, and how the two can merge to create profound artistic expressions. This knowledge has not only enriched her performances but has also enhanced her ability to teach and inspire the next generation of dancers.

In 2023, Andromachi made a significant mark on the national dance scene when she earned recognition at the prestigious pan-Hellenic dance competition “Nationals 23” in the contemporary dance category. This achievement was a testament to her technical prowess, creative expression, and ability to captivate audiences with her emotive performances. It was a moment that affirmed her place as one of Greece’s rising stars in the dance world.

The award not only showcased her personal growth as a dancer but also underscored her ability to adapt to contemporary styles, combining classical technique with modern innovation. Her success in the competition opened doors to new opportunities, both as a performer and an educator.

While Andromachi’s performance career has flourished, she has also found fulfillment in teaching. She currently shares her passion for dance as an instructor at two prominent institutions: Dance School Redifler and Sofia Kartasi’s Dance School. Here, she teaches ballet, modern and contemporary dance, as well as traditional Greek dances. Through her teaching, Andromachi has become an influential figure in the cultural education of young children, helping them discover the joy and discipline of dance.

Her approach to teaching is rooted in her belief that dance is not just about mastering techniques, but about nurturing creativity, self-expression, and cultural appreciation. She takes pride in watching her students grow, not only as dancers but as individuals who find confidence, discipline, and joy through movement.

Andromachi Koutserinakis stands at the crossroads of a bright and promising career, both as a performer and educator. Her journey from a young girl in Athens to a celebrated dancer and teacher is an inspiring story of passion, perseverance, and love for the art form. With each step she takes—whether on the stage or in the classroom—she continues to push the boundaries of her craft and inspire those around her.

As she continues to perform and educate, Andromachi’s influence in the world of dance will undoubtedly grow. Her unique blend of classical training, contemporary exploration, and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of dancers ensures that her legacy in the world of dance will be a lasting one. For Andromachi, dance is not merely a career—it is a lifelong journey of discovery, artistry, and connection.

Her story reminds us all of the power of passion and the beauty that can emerge when talent is paired with dedication.
