Born in Abruzzo, Italy, Anna Rita de Fulviis was raised in a family that instilled in her a deep connection with values such as love for creation, beauty, forgiveness, compassion, and a rejection of greed and egoism. These foundational values have shaped her identity and are reflected in her artistic endeavors, whether in her poetry or her visual art.
From a young age, Anna displayed a remarkable passion for poetry. Her elementary school teachers often compared her to the renowned French poet Jacques Prévert. Growing up in the Teramo hills, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes of the majestic Gran Sasso mountain and the sea on the horizon, Anna found solace and inspiration in nature. Poetry became her voice, a means of liberation and self-expression, and she always wrote from the heart, uninfluenced by other authors, in search of her own literary identity.
In the late 1990s, Anna had the opportunity to publish a book of poetry, but due to a series of setbacks, the project did not materialize. This experience led her to retreat, and she destroyed many of her previous works. Despite this, she had already gained recognition for her poetry in local competitions, including:
- “Simpatia sotto l’albero” by the periodical Piramide In in Rome (1990)
- Second place at the 2nd Poetry Festival organized by Radio Amica (1991)
- Radio interview with Roberpel Castelnuovo in 1998
- Merit Mention at the “Oltre Aniene” Poetry Prize in Rome (1998)
- Publication in the anthology “Raccolta di poesie per la città di Teramo” (2003)
After this period of reflection, Anna returned to the literary world with the release of her poetry collection Il Corpo e… L’Essenza in October 2023. The collection garnered a wealth of recognition, including:
- Duemila Artisti La Fiera Letteraria 2023 Award, organized by Menotti Art Festival Spoleto, included in the Shiren volume.
- January 2024, Anna participated in the Giovani Europei Speciale U.S.A. competition and was reviewed with a full-page article (February 2024).
- Special International Prize at the 60th Biennale of Venice awarded by the Menotti Art Festival and Quotidiano La Notte on May 18, 2024.
- Inclusion in the Special Catalog of Abruzzesistica at the BIA (Biblioteche Italiane) in April 2024.

- International Award at the Spoleto Art Festival Literature 2024 (September 27, 2024).

Anna’s poetic presence has been widely recognized through interviews with local media, including Radio G Giulianova, TV Italia by Carmine Pelusi, TVq Pescara, and Radio Amica International, as well as frequent appearances in local newspapers such as Il Centro d’Abruzzo and the monthly Navuss, directed by journalist Dr. Serena Suriani.
She has also presented her poetry collection in several events in her hometown of Teramo, including at the A.N.P.S. (Teramo Police Headquarters) (November 2023), Bar San Matteo (December 2023), and the Delfico Library (April 2024). In addition, Anna took part in a poetic performance titled Poets Without Borders on July 13, 2024, at the 67th edition of the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto, a prestigious event curated by Prof. Luca Filipponi.
