Anita Radulescu (Jianu), born in 1951, is a renowned veteran artist from Bucharest, Romania. Her artistic journey, spanning over five decades, reflects a lifetime dedicated to creativity and expression. She graduated from the Library of Bucharest in 1973 and later pursued her studies at the esteemed N. Grigorescu Institute of Art from 1977 to 1982, where she studied under influential figures like Marin Predescu and Ion Bitzan. Her early artistic inclinations were shaped by this rich educational background, and she went on to work as a Special Design Vestmenter at the Bucharest Parachute and Flight Equipment Factory between 1982 and 2000, a unique role that allowed her to fuse creativity with functionality.
Anita’s art career began in 1975, and since then, she has participated in both solo and group exhibitions in Romania and abroad, earning her a prominent place in the global art community. Her participation in the 2015 and 2017 International Biennale in Ruse, Bulgaria, as well as the 2017 International Biennale “Arca lui Noe” in Taranto, Italy, marked significant moments in her career. In 2018, she was recognized at the International Biennale ADRIATICA in Pescara, Italy, which led to her being awarded the prestigious Great Master of Art International Award in Caravaggio, Milan that same year.
The following year, she was honored with the International Biennale Prize BOTTICELLI in Florence, followed by the International Prize GIOTTO in Lisbon. Her recognition in these influential European art centers solidified her reputation as an artist of global importance. In 2020, her work reached new heights as she was featured in the International Exhibition Serenita in Gubbio, Italy. That year, she was also named among the 50 Artists to Invest In, an accolade that reflected her enduring relevance and impact on contemporary art.
Anita’s career has been punctuated by numerous personal exhibitions and international awards. In 2021, she exhibited her works at the 1st Biennale in Palermo, and also presented a personal exhibition in Balchik, further emphasizing her continuous artistic exploration. That year, she received the International Prize Dante Alighieri, underscoring her cultural influence. In 2022, her contributions were again recognized with the International Prize Leonardo Da Vinci in Florence, followed by a personal exhibition at CMN Bucharest. Later that year, she exhibited at the Art Gallery in Balchik and participated in the International Exhibition ARTQAKE-10 in Cappadocia, Turkey, further enhancing her global presence. Her crowning achievement in 2022 was the International Prize Paris at the Carrousel du Louvre, where her works were displayed in one of the world’s most iconic art venues.
