Maria Pellino: A Literary Voice of Peace and Global Recognition

Maria Pellino, based in Milan, is a celebrated author and poet whose contributions to the literary world have earned her widespread recognition. A graduate of the University of Bergamo, her literary journey began in 2013 with the publication of her aphorisms and poems, and since then, she has garnered numerous first prizes, accolades, and mentions in esteemed national, international, and European competitions. Notably, she has also received two special press awards, solidifying her place as a prominent figure in contemporary literature.

Her body of work includes two poetry collections, a novel, and a co-authored essay, all of which showcase her eloquence and mastery of language. Maria has further contributed to the literary landscape by serving on juries for various literary competitions. Her dedication to literature extends beyond her written works, as she has been recognized as a peace ambassador through poetry by the International World Literary Forum for Peace and Human Rights, exemplifying her commitment to using poetry as a force for unity and goodwill. In recognition of her lifetime achievements, she was awarded the prestigious career honor Tra le Parole e l’Infinito.

Maria’s influence extends across a range of platforms. She collaborates with the poetry website Poesie Report Online and is an active member of ALBAP – Academia Luso-Brasileira de Artes e Poesias. Additionally, she contributes regularly to Alessandria Today, a well-regarded platform run by Pier Carlo Lava, and is a recognized member of the Republic of Poets, further solidifying her involvement in the global literary community.

Her contributions have not gone unnoticed in her local community either. Maria was awarded the Youth Excellence Award by the Municipality of Trezzo sull’Adda, further underscoring her role as a significant literary figure in Italy. Beyond national borders, her works have achieved international acclaim. In 2024, she was a winner at the 10th Gala of the Spring Festival of Chinese Poetry, a prestigious event that brings together authors from around the world.

Through the efforts of the Writer Capital Foundation, Maria’s biography and poetry have been translated into multiple languages, including Albanian, Turkish, Spanish, Egyptian, Chinese, and more, allowing her words to reach an even broader audience across the globe. Her work continues to inspire readers worldwide, transcending borders and cultures through the universal language of poetry.
